We are over in Indira Nagar at A-995. The shop is near Shalimar Hospital, which is how most people find us. It’s a simple spot in a residential area. We don't have a big staff or anything like that. It is just a local place where you can get your hair done or some basic beauty work. Lucknow summers are tough so we try to keep the place cool for whoever walks in. The walls are a bit plain and we have a few chairs for waiting. Usually, it's just neighbors or people living on the nearby streets who stop by. We have been here for a good while. You might see us sitting outside when there are no customers. It is not a place with fancy lights or music. We just focus on cutting hair or whatever the person asks for. Sometimes we run out of supplies and have to go get them from the market quickly. It is a very normal, small-scale operation. We know most of the people who come in by their first names. It is quiet for most of the morning then picks up in the evening. We keep the scissors sharp and the combs clean. That is pretty much all there is to it. We aren't trying to be anything other than a neighborhood shop. Most of our tools are the basics. We don't have big signs or anything. People just know we are here.
