Kamal Men

Kamal Men is located on Kursi Road in the Dandiya part of Lucknow. We are very close to the Harihar Complex, which is a busy spot. It is a basic men’s shop with no extra frills. We have three barber chairs that we have used for a very long time. The leather on the seats is starting to show its age and has a few cracks here and there, but they are still very sturdy. We mostly do simple haircuts and shaves. In the morning hours, we get the older men from the neighborhood who want a quick shave before they head to work. In the evenings, the younger guys come by to get their hair trimmed. We have a small television set in the corner that usually stays on the news or a cricket game. It gives the men something to talk about while they wait their turn. The floor is just simple stone which makes it easy for us to sweep up the hair throughout the day. We keep our scissors and combs in a metal tray by the sink. The sink has a few stains from the water, but it works just fine for what we need. We don't have any fancy signs or a website. People around here just know us. We've been on Kursi Road long enough to be a part of the daily routine. We often sit on plastic chairs outside when the shop is empty.
