Our shop is located in Jankipuram, Lucknow, not far from Prabhat Chauraha. It’s a decent spot, though the traffic near the crossing can be a headache in the afternoons. We sell clothes and different kinds of accessories. It isn't a huge mall store; it’s more of a local boutique feel. We spend a lot of time hanging things up and rearranging the racks so people can see what’s new. Sometimes the shop feels too full when a new shipment arrives. We have boxes sitting in the aisles until we can find a place for everything. We don't really have a big marketing plan or anything. Mostly, people walking by see something in the window and come in. Or they hear about us from a neighbor. We talk to the customers, help them find sizes, and sometimes just chat about the weather. The lighting could be better in the back corner, but we’re working on that. It’s a lot of standing on your feet all day. We keep a small mirror near the front. It’s a simple business. My sister helps out sometimes when it gets busy on weekends. We try to keep the place tidy, but with so many fabrics and items, it gets cluttered fast. We just enjoy being part of the Jankipuram neighborhood and seeing people wear the things they bought here. We usually keep some water for anyone who looks tired from the heat outside.
