Jai Mata Di Provisional Store

Jai Mata Di Provisional Store is our small shop in Hind Nagar. We are located right by the Shakti Ashram, which is how most people find their way to us. Hind Nagar is a residential area in Lucknow, so most of the people we see are just neighbors living in the nearby houses. We keep all the basic provisions like flour, oil, spices, and tea. It is a very simple operation. We open early in the morning because that’s when people realize they ran out of something for breakfast. The shop isn't very big, but we try to keep it organized so we can find things quickly. We spend a lot of time talking to the people who come in. It’s more like a community spot than just a store sometimes. The 226012 area has a lot of families, and we’ve seen kids grow up and start coming in to buy things for their own homes. We don't have a big marketing plan or anything corporate. We just write the prices on a board and do our best to keep the shelves full. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to sit in the dark for a bit, but that's just part of life here. We take things one day at a time and try to be helpful to anyone who walks in through the door. It is just a regular life running a store.
