Photo Kheech

You can find Photo Kheech at A-1028 near the Shalimar Crossing in Indira Naga. It’s a really busy spot right by the main crossing. We spend most of our time looking through lenses and trying to get the lighting to look right. Photography is what we do but we don’t treat it like some high-art thing. For us, it’s just about capturing a face or a moment so people can have something to look at later. We’ve been at this Shalimar Crossing location for a while now. The studio itself isn’t huge but we have enough room for our backdrops and some basic gear. When the traffic gets really loud outside at the crossing, we just close the door and get to work. People come in for all sorts of photos, from passport shots to simple family portraits. We don’t use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just take the pictures and print them out. Sometimes the cameras act up or the computer is a bit slow, which is annoying, but that’s just part of the daily job. We aren't some big agency with a hundred different photographers on staff. It’s just a few of us who like taking photos and making them look decent. We don't have any big mission statement or anything like that. We just hope the people who come here like the photos we take for them. It’s a simple trade and we enjoy it for what it is.
