Ibrahim Wa Moosa Kirana Store

Our little shop is located in Mehboob Ganj, right in the middle of Dhobi Wali Gali here in Lucknow. It is one of those old narrow lanes where everyone knows everyone else. Ibrahim and Moosa started this work to provide the basic kitchen needs for the families living around here. We have been selling spices, pulses, and general household items for quite some time now. The street can get pretty crowded with people walking and cycles passing by, so it is always lively. Inside the store, the smell of different spices is quite strong, which I suppose is typical for a place like this. We do not have any fancy displays or a lot of space to move around, but we make sure the shelves are always full of the things people use every day. From morning till late evening, there is usually someone standing at the counter asking for tea leaves or a bit of salt. We try to keep track of what the neighbors like so we do not run out. It is a simple way of living, just keeping the shop open and talking to the people who have lived in these lanes for generations. Sometimes the rain makes the lane a bit muddy, but people still come by to get their groceries regardless. It is just a regular part of life in this corner of Lucknow, nothing more and nothing less than that.
