Golden General Merchant

Golden General Merchant is located in Udayganj, right on Cantt Road in Lucknow. Our pincode is 226001. We’ve been operating out of this spot for a long time. The shop is a mix of all sorts of things. Being on Cantt Road means we get a lot of people passing through, not just the locals from Udaiganj. It’s a busy part of Lucknow. I usually have a lot of items stacked up, sometimes it’s hard to see over the counter. We sell groceries, toiletries, and some general items that people might need in a hurry. The shop is a bit old-fashioned. We don't use much technology, mostly just keeping track of things in a ledger. Sometimes the heat in Lucknow gets to be a bit much, but we have a fan that keeps things moving. We try to stock the brands that people like, but sometimes we bring in local stuff too. It’s just a small business. I don’t have a big staff, it’s mostly just me and sometimes a family member helps out when it’s busy. We’ve seen the road outside change a lot over the years, with more traffic and new buildings. But inside the shop, it stays pretty much the same. We focus on getting people their items quickly so they can get back to their day. It’s a straightforward shop for a straightforward neighborhood. Nothing more, nothing less.
