Gayatri General Store

Gayatri General Store is situated in Amaltash Plaza, right on the Sector 8 Road in Indira Nagar. We are very close to the Central Academy school here in Lucknow, so we see a lot of students and parents every day. Because of the school, we keep a good stock of stationery and snacks along with the usual groceries. It makes the shop feel very lively, especially in the mornings and when the school day ends. We try to fit all the household essentials that the people in the 226016 area need into our space. It’s a busy part of the city, and our shop is often quite full. We don't have those big shopping carts you see in malls. You just come to the counter and tell us what you need, and we go get it for you from the back or the high shelves. We think it’s a more personal way to do things. We’ve been here long enough to know what the local families prefer to buy. We don't care much for big brand names if we can find good quality local products instead. The middle of the day is usually quiet while the kids are in their classes, which gives us time to clean up or rest for a bit. Then, once the clock strikes three, the rush starts all over again. We don't do any promotion; people just find us while they are walking through the plaza.
