Garage The Family Restaurant is over on Plot No 14 in the Dream Green City area of Dadupur Banthra. We picked the name because we liked the vibe of something a bit more industrial and laid back. It’s not your typical white-tablecloth kind of place, and we are fine with that. We wanted a spot where families could come and not feel like they have to act all stiff and formal. The area around Dadupur is growing quite a bit, so we thought it was a good time to open something up here. Most of our days are spent in the kitchen or out front talking to people who stop by. We aren't part of any big chain, so every decision is made by us right here on the floor. Sometimes the air conditioning plays up or we get a rush we weren't expecting, and things get a bit loud, but that is the charm of it. We keep the menu pretty straightforward with things we actually like to eat ourselves. It’s a family-run thing, so you might see different relatives helping out on the weekends when it gets busy. We don’t have a big fancy website or a lot of ads; we just hope that people tell their neighbors about us if they had a good time. It’s just a regular restaurant trying to be a nice part of the community and we hope to stay here for a while. It’s not always easy, but it’s ours.
