You can find Fun N Joy Ice Cream at Building No. 718/305 in Gadhi Peer Khan Mohalla, Thakurganj. We are located right near Bright Career Inter College, which defines a lot of our day. When the college bell rings, we know we are about to get very busy. The mohalla is a tight-knit place where everyone knows everyone else. Our shop is just a small part of the community here. We don't have any corporate backing; it is just a local spot where we sell ice cream and snacks. We spend a lot of time cleaning the glass and reorganizing the tubs. The building we are in is an older one, so it has its own character. Sometimes the street gets a bit blocked with cycles and bikes, but that is just life in Thakurganj. We have a couple of small tables, but they are usually full of students talking about their exams. It gets loud and lively in the afternoons. I usually work the morning shift to get everything wiped down and ready before the crowds arrive. It is a simple life, really. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We just provide a place for the neighborhood kids and families to get something cold. We’ve seen many groups of students graduate and move on over the years. It’s nice to be a small part of their school memories. We keep the shop open until late.
