Frahan General Store

Frahan General Store is located right in Turiyaganj, which is part of the old Chowk area in Lucknow. If you know this part of the city, you know how narrow and busy the lanes can get. Our shop has been here for a good amount of time now. We handle mostly the daily essentials that families living nearby need every day. Lucknow is a place with a lot of history, and the Chowk area feels like the heart of it. Being at 226003 means we see a lot of local foot traffic. The shop is small and sometimes the stock reaches up to the ceiling because we try to fit everything in. We have grains, oils, and the usual household stuff. It’s a bit dusty sometimes because of the construction nearby, but we do our best to keep it clean. I spend most of my day sitting behind the counter or checking the inventory. People come in for a single packet of biscuits or a whole month’s worth of ration. It doesn’t matter much to us. We just keep the doors open and wait for the next person. Turiyaganj has its own vibe, and we are just one small part of that. There is no website or fancy system here, just pen and paper and a lot of talking with the customers. It’s a basic life running a store in Chowk, but it keeps us busy from morning until late evening.
