Farhat Munir

This is Farhat Munir’s place over in Amberganj. The address is 429/112 in Moazzam Nagar. If you know Lucknow, you know these narrow lanes. It’s an old part of town. The building has been around for quite a while. We do our work from the ground floor mostly. It’s a bit dusty because of the construction nearby, but we keep it tidy enough. There’s always someone coming or going. Farhat usually sits by the window where there’s a bit of light. We have a couple of chairs for visitors, though they aren’t very comfortable. Most people who come by are locals from the colony. We handle things as they come. No fancy computers or high-end stuff, just the basics. The tea here in Lucknow is always good, and we usually have a pot going. Some days are slow, especially when it rains and the streets get muddy. We just keep the doors open. It’s a family-run sort of vibe. We’ve lived in this area for years, so everyone knows Farhat’s name. There’s a small shop next door selling snacks. Sometimes the noise from the market reaches us, but it’s fine. It’s homey. We don’t have a website or anything like that. Just the physical spot here in 226003. If someone needs something, they just walk in. It’s straightforward. No big plans, just working day to day. We sometimes have to chase away the street dogs that try to sleep in the shade of our doorway.
