Dk Mans Palar

This is Shop No -3, right near Gupta Hotel here in Lucknow. It’s called Dk Mans Palar, though some people just call it DK’s. It is a small place for men to get a trim or a shave. I keep things very simple. There are a couple of chairs and some basic tools. It’s not one of those high-end places with bright lights and music. Usually, it's just the sound of the scissors and maybe a small radio playing in the background. I’ve been running this shop for a bit now. People from the hotel sometimes stop by, and the locals are here every couple of weeks. The location is good because it’s easy to find. I don't really have a big staff, so sometimes you have to wait on the bench outside if I'm busy. The shop stays open pretty late most nights. I try to keep everything clean, but it’s an old building, so it has its quirks. Life in Lucknow moves at its own pace, and my shop is part of that. You come in, get your hair cut, maybe talk about the weather, and you head out. No fuss. The floor gets covered in hair quickly, but I sweep it up when I get a minute. It’s just a regular man's parlour doing what it's supposed to do. My tools are old but they still cut sharp. It is just a neighborhood spot.
