Our office is in Sector-13 of Indira Nagar, right here in Lucknow. It’s a residential-feeling area but we’ve got our setup at 13/25. We go by Barabari Tea And Allied Private Limited. Mostly, we deal with tea leaves and everything else that goes along with that trade. Lucknow is a city that really loves its tea, so it felt like a good place to be. We aren't some massive corporation with a glass building and a lobby. We’re just a small group of people who spend our days tasting different blends and packing boxes for delivery. The smell of dried tea leaves is everywhere in our office, which is actually quite nice once you get used to it. Sometimes the samples don't arrive on time or we have a hard time finding enough space for all the big sacks we get from the gardens. We have a few desks and a lot of metal shelves. Our address in 226016 is where we do all our planning and sorting. It gets a bit cluttered when a new shipment comes in and we have to move everything around. We aren't doing anything revolutionary; we are just trying to provide a decent product to people who enjoy a good cup of chai in the morning. We’ve got a private limited structure because it makes things official for the bank, but we still operate in a very simple way. You might hear us arguing over a specific blend or just the sound of tape.
