Ankit General Store

Ankit General Store is located at shop 63/1 in Lucknow, just a short walk from the Bangali Club. Being near the club means there is always someone walking past, which is nice because it keeps the day interesting for us. We have been in this spot for a while now. The shop is not very big, so we have to use every bit of wall space to hang things up or stack them in corners. Sometimes it looks a bit messy with all the packets and bottles, but I usually know exactly where everything is hidden. If you are looking for something specific, you might have to wait a second while I reach for it or move a box. Lucknow weather can be tricky, especially during the rains when the water splashes near the front step, but we manage somehow. I spend a lot of time just sitting on the stool near the counter, watching the traffic go by on the street. Most of our customers are locals who live nearby and just need a few things for their home. We do not do anything special, just open the shutters in the morning and stay until late. It is a simple life running a general store. My family helps out too when things get busy in the afternoons. Sometimes we run out of things faster than expected, but we just get more the next day. It is just us here, doing our thing near the club every day.
