Altaf General Store

Altaf General Store is found on Sitapur Branch Road, right near the Daliganj Crossing in Lucknow. Being near the crossing means there is always someone passing by. We get a mix of people, from those living in the nearby houses to commuters waiting for their transport. The store is packed with all sorts of small items. We have toys for kids, basic medicines, snacks, and household cleaning stuff. It is one of those places where you go when you realize you’ve run out of something at home. The area around 226020 is quite crowded, and our shop reflects that. It’s small and every bit of wall space is used for shelving. We don't have a big sign or bright lights. It's just a local shop that’s been there for the neighborhood. Sometimes the trains passing near the crossing make a lot of noise, but we are used to it by now. The shop is usually open early so people can grab things on their way to work. We don't follow any corporate rules. If someone is short a few rupees, we often just tell them to pay next time.
