Alok General Store

Alok General Store is located at Shop No 2 and 3 in the Love Kush Market. We are right in Indira Nagar, Lucknow. Since we have two shop spaces joined together, we have a bit more room than some of the other stores in the market. We use that extra space to keep a wider variety of general items. Lucknow is a big city and Indira Nagar is a busy residential area, so there is always someone looking for something. We’ve been in Love Kush Market for quite some time. You can find almost any small household item here, from snacks to cleaning supplies. The market gets quite crowded in the evenings, and that is when we are the busiest. We spend our day stocking the shelves and talking to the regular customers who come by. It’s a very straightforward business. We don't have any big marketing plans, we just open the shop and wait for people to come in. The 226016 area is quite well known in the city. Working in the market means we are part of a community of other shopkeepers too. It’s a lot of work to keep two shop numbers running, but we manage it. We just focus on having the things that the families in Indira Nagar need for their daily lives. We are usually here until late because that is when most people do their shopping.
