Ajay General Store

Ajay General Store is found in the Annapurna Complex, specifically at Lgf-A9 on the lower ground floor. We are in Lda Colony in Lucknow, which is very close to the Ashiana Chauraha. Being in a basement level means it stays a bit cooler inside when the Lucknow sun is beating down on the streets above. The complex has a few other shops, so there is always someone around. Our place is quite simple with rows of shelves holding all the daily essentials. We handle the business ourselves, from the cleaning to the bookkeeping. It is not a very big shop, so we have to be careful about how we stack the bags of flour and rice so people can still walk around. Most of our customers are from the Lda Colony or people passing through the Ashiana Chauraha on their way to work. We get a lot of regulars who just want to grab their tea leaves or a pack of biscuits without any delay. There is no corporate office or big staff here, just me behind the counter for most of the day. We don't really do any advertising because people just find us as they walk through the complex. It is a honest way to spend the day, and we have grown quite fond of the community here. Sometimes the stock takes a while to arrive, but we usually have what is needed on the shelf. It is just a basic local store.
