Agarwal General Store

We are over at Agarwal General Store in Udayganj. The shop is situated on Cantt Road, which is a fairly well-known part of Lucknow 226001. It’s been our family’s work for quite a while now. We keep the shop stocked with the usual household goods. You can find things for the kitchen, some stationery, and everyday toiletries. The area around Udaiganj is always bustling, and being on Cantt Road means there is never a dull moment. We have a lot of regular customers who live in the nearby quarters. I try to keep the prices fair and the service quick. The shop isn't very large, so we have to be clever about how we stack the boxes. Sometimes it looks a bit messy, but I know where everything is. We open up early in the morning. Lucknow gets very hot in the summer, so we try to get the heavy work done before the afternoon sun hits. It’s a simple life running a general store. We don't have any fancy displays or neon signs. Just a board with the name and a door that stays open most of the day. If someone needs a bag of flour or a bottle of oil, they know they can just stop by. We aren't trying to compete with the big malls. We just provide a convenient place for the neighbors to shop. It’s just how we do things here in Udayganj.
