Abhey General Store

Our store is situated at 98/123 in the Aminabad area, specifically near Bhusa Mandi. Lucknow is famous for its markets, and Aminabad is one of the busiest. There is always something happening outside our door. Abhey General Store isn't a big place, but we try to keep it organized. We sell all the basic stuff a household needs. The morning starts with unloading crates and making sure the most popular items are within easy reach. The area gets really packed in the afternoons, and sometimes it is hard for people to even walk on the street outside. We have a small overhead fan that keeps us from melting in the Lucknow heat, but it doesn't do much when the shop is full of people. I have been running this place for years, and I know many of the customers who come in. We talk about the prices of things or just about what is going on in the city. It is not a corporate environment at all. We have bags and boxes stacked in corners, and sometimes the labels are a bit faded from the sun hitting them. We do not offer any special deals or memberships. People just come in, buy what they need, and go about their day. It is a simple way of doing business, and it works for us and our neighbors here in Bhusa Mandi.
