Saroj Convent School

People in Udgir know this part of Jalkot Road pretty well, especially near Survey No 184. Saroj Convent School sits right by Jaihind Public School. We’ve been here for a while now, just doing our thing. Latur gets pretty hot in the summer, and the kids definitely feel it, but we keep the fans going. It’s not a fancy place, just a regular school where things get a bit noisy when the bell rings. You’ll see parents dropping off their kids on scooters every morning, and there’s always someone forgetting their lunchbox or a notebook. The building is simple. We deal with the usual stuff like leaky taps or needing a fresh coat of paint here and there. It’s mostly about getting through the lessons and making sure the students actually learn something useful. Sometimes the road outside gets a bit dusty with all the traffic heading towards Latur, but inside we just focus on the books. We have teachers who have been with us for years, just local folks who live nearby. It’s a practical setup. There aren’t any big speeches or grand promises here. We just open the gates early, see the kids through their day, and head home when the sun starts going down. It is what it is—a local school in a busy part of town trying to keep things moving.
