Aadhar Niwasi Mukh Badhir Vidyalaya

In Udgir, life moves at its own pace, especially out on Jalkot Road where we are. Aadhar Niwasi Mukh Badhir Vidyalaya is a residential place, so it isn't just a school for us. It’s where many of the students live throughout the term. Because our students are hearing impaired, the building is often much quieter than a regular school, but there is still so much movement. You see hands moving constantly as everyone communicates. We have to keep a close eye on the kitchen and the dorms to make sure everything is clean and the food is ready on time. Being at 11349 Jalkot Road means we are a bit away from the main bustle, which is probably good. We have a lot of daily chores like making sure the laundry is done and the water tanks are full. It is a lot of responsibility to have kids living here, but we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of it over the years. We don't have fancy decorations or big billboards. It’s just a plain building with a big yard where the kids can spend their free time. Latur can be quite dry, so we try to keep a few trees alive in the compound. It’s hard work, and the staff stays busy from sunrise until the last light goes out in the hostel. We just keep things moving along for everyone day by day.
