Nikhileshwar Childrens Academy

Up here in Pithoragarh, the air is a bit thinner and the mornings can be really cold, especially in the winter. Nikhileshwar Childrens Academy is located on the New Link Road. It’s a place where you can see the hills around us while the kids are playing outside. We aren't a massive institution; it’s more of a local academy where everyone knows everyone else’s name. Most of our staff have lived in Pithoragarh their whole lives, so there’s a real sense of being part of the community. The building is solid and keeps the wind out, which is important when the weather turns. We have simple classrooms and the usual blackboards and wooden desks you’d expect. Life on the New Link Road is a bit quieter than the main market area, but we still get plenty of activity during the school hours. We focus a lot on the younger children, helping them get their start with reading and writing. It’s honest work and it gets tiring, but seeing the kids grow up is part of the job. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles here. It’s just a place for learning, tucked away in the 262501 area. The New Link Road isn't the busiest street in Pithoragarh, but it's where we've set up shop. We like the views of the mountains from the upper windows. It's a quiet place to get some studying done without all the noise from the center of town.
