White House Public School

White House Public School is right there on the Mirzapur Highway. If you’re driving through Bhuj, you can’t really miss Svct House. It’s a bit of a windy spot, being out near the highway like that. The dust from the road sometimes settles on the windows, so we’re always cleaning. It’s a big building, and we have a lot of space for the kids to run around, which is good. Kachchh can be a tough environment with the heat and the dry air, but we’ve made a home for the school here. The morning assembly is usually a bit loud because of the trucks passing by, but we’ve all gotten used to it. We have students coming from all over the local area. Some come by bus, some get dropped off by their parents. The classrooms are simple. We don’t go for anything too decorative. It’s more about having a place to sit and learn. During the breaks, the playground is the busiest spot. You can see the hills in the distance on a clear day. It’s a very local feel here. We know the families and we know the rhythms of the highway. It’s just a steady life of teaching and looking after the place, day in and day out, making sure everything is ready for the next morning. People recognize the name when they pass by Svct House on their way into town and they know we are here.
