We opened Webcom Infotech here in Bhuj quite a while ago. It's located right near the Arya Samaj Mandir at Lal Tekri. Most days it's just us handling computer stuff for people who walk in. Kutch can get really dusty and hot, so machines around here need a lot of looking after. We spend most of our time at the desk or out visiting someone who has a broken printer or a slow laptop. It isn't a huge office or anything fancy, just a practical space where we keep some parts and tools. People know where to find us because the mandir is a big landmark. Sometimes the internet is slow, or a software update fails, and that's when someone usually calls us up. We don't have a big team, just a couple of guys who know how to put a motherboard together or fix a screen. It’s a quiet life mostly, though things get busy when school starts and students need their systems checked. We've seen a lot of changes in technology since we started, but the basic problems stay the same. Cables get chewed by mice or things just stop turning on. We try to figure it out and get it back to the owner. It’s just how things work here. There’s no big corporate office telling us what to do, we just run the shop ourselves every morning. It’s a local thing, and we like being part of the Lal Tekri neighborhood.
