Vivekanand Vividhlaxi Vidhyalaya

The school is out in Vayor, which is a bit of a trek for anyone not living in this part of Kutch. It’s a dry area and the wind carries a lot of dust, so we are always sweeping the floors. Being a "Vividhlaxi" school, we handle more than just the standard book learning. We have spaces set up for different kinds of practical work, even if the tools are getting a bit old now. The building is at number 98, and it’s pretty easy to spot from the road. Students here are used to the heat. We have some fans in the rooms, but they make a lot of noise while the teachers are talking. At break time, the kids bring their own tiffins and sit in the shade of the building. We’ve had many groups of students pass through over the years, and some of their younger brothers or sisters are here now. The local people know us by name. It’s not a very big operation, just a few dedicated staff members trying to keep things running smoothly. We spend a lot of time on the dusty grounds during sports periods. Kutch is a tough place to live sometimes, but the school is a steady spot for the community. We focus on getting through the syllabus and making sure the exams are handled right. It’s just a normal school day, day after day, and we keep things simple for everyone.
