Gayatri Engineering Works

If you look behind the Hanuman Temple on Oslo Road, that is where you will find Gayatri Engineering Works. We are situated at Plot No. 113 in the GIDC area. It is a noisy spot because of all the machines, but we are used to it by now. The temple is a good landmark because everyone knows it. We spend most of our time out on the shop floor with the tools. It gets pretty warm in the afternoons, especially in the summer months, so we keep the fans running. We do a lot of different engineering jobs depending on what the local plants need from us. It is mostly repairs and making small parts that people can't find elsewhere. Our workshop isn't the cleanest place, but everything has its spot so we can find what we need quickly. The guys here have been working together for a long time. We drink tea twice a day and talk about what needs to be finished before the sun goes down. We don't have a big fancy reception area. Usually, if someone comes by, they just walk right into the back where the work is happening. GIDC is a crowded place with lots of small businesses like ours. We just try to do our part and keep the machines in the area running well. It's a living and we take it one day at a time without much fuss. It is just what we do.
