Khodiyar Engineering Works

We’ve been running Khodiyar Engineering Works out of Shed No. L/ 46 for quite some time now. It is right across from the Iti School in the Gidc area. If you know the neighborhood, you know it gets pretty busy around here when the school lets out and the trucks start moving through the estate. Most days, we are just busy with the machines running. It’s a bit loud inside the shed, but that is how it goes when you’re doing this kind of work. We didn’t choose the spot for any special reason other than it was available and the space worked for what we needed to do. We keep things pretty simple. There isn’t a front office with fancy chairs or anything like that. Just the workspace and the tools we use every day. Sometimes people stop by because they saw the sign or they were visiting the school across the road. We’ve seen the area change over the years, more sheds popping up and more traffic on the main road. It’s just a regular local shop where we put in the hours and then close up for the day. Nothing too complicated about it. We just focus on the jobs that come in. The roof leaks a tiny bit when it rains really hard, but we make it work. It’s just us here most of the time, keeping the gears turning in this part of Gidc.
