Shri Ganesh Salt Works

We operate Shri Ganesh Salt Works out of S G X - 36 and 37 in Adipur. Being here in Kachchh means we are right in the middle of where things happen for the salt industry. Our place isn't a fancy office building; it’s more of a functional site where we handle the business. There’s usually a bit of salt dust in the air and the sun is quite strong out here most of the year. We’ve been doing this for a long time. It’s a family-style operation even if we have a few extra hands helping out during the busy seasons. Most of our day is spent looking at logistics or checking on the piles outside. We don't have a big corporate structure with different departments. If you call, you’ll likely talk to one of the owners directly. We use old ledgers and a computer that’s seen better days, but it gets the job done. The weather out here in Kachchh dictates a lot of our daily schedule. We start very early before it gets too hot to move around. It’s hard work and it’s not always clean, but it’s what we know. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to get the salt where it needs to go and keep the lights on. The buildings we have are sturdy and very simple. We spend a lot of time outdoors or in the warehouse area. It’s a quiet life in Adipur for the most part. We just focus on the salt and the shifting seasons.
