Over in Koloriang, specifically in the village of Langbang Parsi Parlo, life revolves around the seasons. Subu Sene Organic Navkrishak Farmers Producer Company Limited is based out of Bamang Tadu's place. It’s deep in the Kurung Kumey district, where the air is fresh but the roads can be a real challenge. We are a bunch of local farmers who decided to pool our resources. In this part of Arunachal Pradesh, getting your goods to a market is the hardest part. By coming together, we can share the burden of transport and find better ways to sell what we grow. We don't use any of those artificial fertilizers. The land here in Langbang is good enough on its own if you treat it right. Most of us have small plots, growing whatever grows best in this soil. We meet up when we can, usually after the day's work is done, to discuss how the crops are looking. It isn't always easy, and sometimes the weather doesn't cooperate, but we manage. We aren't doing anything fancy. We just grow our food, take care of our families, and try to make sure our little farming group stays steady. It’s about sticking together in a place that’s far from the main towns. We keep our eyes on the fields and our hands in the dirt, which is how it's always been for us.
