Kurung Kumey Todum Agro Producer Company Limited is based out of Village BOA. If you know the area, it is near Chambang and you have to travel a bit from Koloriang to get to us. Living in Kurung Kumey is not always easy because of the terrain, but the land is good for growing. A group of us decided to put this company together so we could handle our agro products better. We mostly deal with what is local and what our families have been planting for generations. It started small, just a few neighbors talking over tea about how much work it is to sell what we grow. Now we have more people involved from around the village. We do not have a flashy building. Our main spot is just a regular house in the village where we organize our stuff. Sometimes the power goes out or the phone signal is bad, so things take a bit longer than they should. We do our best to keep things moving though. Farming here means watching the clouds and hoping the monsoon is not too rough on the fields. We are not experts in business talk, we just know how to work the dirt and take care of the plants. It is about making sure the people in BOA and the surrounding areas have a way to get their crops out to the markets without too much headache. It is just us farmers trying to stay afloat and keep our traditions going.
