Waheguru Rice & General Mills

We’ve been here in Village Roopapati for a while now. It is a small place but we keep busy with the rice. The mill takes up most of our time. Usually, we start very early when the sun is barely up and the air is still cool. Farmers from around the village bring their loads and we get to work. It is noisy and dusty but that is just how it is. We handle the milling and all the general stuff that comes with it. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to fix them ourselves with whatever tools we have handy. It is not a fancy office, just the mill and the grain and a lot of hard floors. We see the same faces every season and that is nice. People know where we are located. We don’t change much around here. We just focus on keeping the wheels turning and making sure the rice is handled right. Some days are much longer than others, especially during the harvest when the bags start piling up. We just stay focused on the work at hand. It is a simple life out here in the village without any big city rush. Just the mill and the crops. We have got a small team. Everyone knows what they need to do. We don't talk much about big plans. We just do the job. If the rice is good, the day is good. That is really all there is for us. We stay right here and work until it is finished.
