Mr Soya

Our shop is located at Sco. No-57 in the main market of Kurukshetra. We are pretty close to the Shiv Mandir, so you can often hear the temple bells or see people walking past after they have finished their prayers. Mr Soya is a very simple place where we mostly deal with soya-based dishes and snacks. The main market is always crowded, so it gets pretty noisy right outside our front door almost every day. We open up early in the morning and stay until the market finally starts to quiet down late at night. It is not a big fancy restaurant with waiters wearing uniforms or anything like that. We just work behind the counter and make sure the food gets out to whoever is waiting. Sometimes we get a bit behind when everyone decided to come in at the exact same time during the lunch hour. The building we are in is an older one but we try our best to keep it tidy and clean for everyone. Most of our customers are locals who are just doing their daily shopping in the market area. They know us and we usually know what they are going to order before they even say it. We don't have a huge menu that changes all the time. We just stick to what we know how to make. It is a bit cramped inside when it's full, but nobody seems to mind. We've been here long enough that we feel like part of the street.
