Singla Rice And General Mills is set up at No.- 1762/5 on Salarpur Road. We are right on State Highway 6 in the Jyoti Nagar area. It is a large facility because milling rice takes up a lot of room. We have big machines that hum all day long when we are processing the grain. The air usually smells a bit like husks and dry earth. We have a small office at the front of the mill where we do the billing and talk to the farmers. It’s not a fancy office, just some old chairs and a computer that’s seen better days. During the peak season, the road outside is lined with tractors waiting to drop off their harvest. It gets very hectic, and we often work late into the night. We’ve been running this mill for quite some time. It’s a family business, so we all pitch in where we can. We don't have a marketing department or anything like that. Our reputation in the local area is what keeps us going. People know where to find us on the highway. We just focus on getting the work done and making sure the rice is processed properly. It’s a noisy and dusty job, but it’s what we do. We’re just regular folks working hard in Jyoti Nagar.
