About Ganesh Rice Mills – Food & Beverages in Kurukshetra
Running Ganesh Rice Mills on Daliz Road isn't exactly a quiet job. It's a lot of noise from the rollers and the huskers running most of the day. We’ve got a small crew here. Most of us live nearby, so the commute is just a short walk or a bike ride. The building isn't much to look at, just a sturdy place where we process the grain. We spend a lot of time checking the moisture and making sure the machines are greased up properly. If one part breaks, the whole line stops, so we keep some tools handy at all times. Daliz Road gets a bit bumpy with the heavy trucks coming in and out, especially during the harvest season when everyone is in a hurry. We don't really do big meetings or have fancy titles here. You just find whoever is closest to the machine if you have a question. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait it out, which is a good time to grab a tea. We’ve been at this for years. It's hard work, and your clothes end up smelling like grain and dust by the end of the shift. We don't mind. It’s what we know. We just focus on the piles of rice and getting them bagged up for the next truck. Nothing more to it than that. We just show up and keep the machines fed.
