Sankar & Co

Our little spot is on Ayyanar Kovil Street in Thiruvadaimaruvur. Sankar & Co has been around this neighborhood for a bit now. We aren't a huge factory, just a local place where we handle materials and get things sorted for the builders nearby. It’s usually just a couple of us working at 3-D. The street is narrow so when the supply trucks come it can be a bit of a squeeze. We spend a lot of time checking the stock and moving things around by hand. It gets sweaty and tiring but that’s the way it goes. People in the village know where to find us if they need something for a construction project. We don't bother with fancy signs or advertisements. Most people just walk in or call us. The yard is a bit messy sometimes with all the sand and stacks of items. We try to keep it organized but work gets in the way. It’s a simple life here. We open early and close when the sun goes down. If it rains, we take a break and sit under the tin roof. Life at Thiruvadaimaruvur is alright. We just focus on getting the daily tasks finished without much fuss. There is always something to lift or carry. It keeps us fit, I suppose. Just a regular business doing regular work for the people around here.
