Sri Jayalakshmi & Co

Our place is located at 1, Potramarai East Street, which is right by the Potramarai Kulam. If you know the pond, you know exactly where we are. It is a busy little corner of the world, especially in the mornings when people are out and about. Sri Jayalakshmi & Co has been operating out of this spot for years. The building is older, but it serves us well enough for what we do. We mostly deal with the regulars who live around here or those visiting the temple area. There is no air conditioning or anything like that, just some ceiling fans that hum all day. Sometimes the water in the tank looks real nice when the sun hits it. We don't have a big team, just a few of us making sure everything is in its place. The street can get crowded with cycles and people walking, but that is just how it is on East Street. We don't spend money on fancy signs. People know the name and they know where to find us. Usually, someone is sitting out front if it is not too hot. We keep the books by hand mostly, and we like the old way of doing things. It’s quiet in the afternoons when the sun is high, then picks up again as the evening comes on. We are just a local business trying to keep things steady and serve the neighborhood as best as we can.
