Bismi Tools & Service

If you head out to the Sidco area in Chennathur Post, you’ll find us at number 12. Bismi Tools & Service is right there on Rayakotta Road. It’s a pretty busy industrial stretch, and there’s always a lot of grit in the air from the passing vehicles. We spend our days surrounded by all sorts of tools and equipment that need looking after. It’s the kind of job where you’re guaranteed to have greasy hands by ten in the morning. The shop is filled with the smell of oil and metal. We’ve got a small area in the back where we keep the spare parts, and it’s a bit of a puzzle finding anything sometimes, but we know where everything is. The neighbors are all doing similar stuff, so there’s a lot of borrowing of tools and helping each other out when a machine breaks down. It’s not a polished environment by any means. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint and the floor is stained with years of work, but it’s a comfortable place for us. We drink a lot of tea to keep going, usually from the guy who brings it around on a bicycle. We don't have a website or any of that, we just rely on people knowing we’re here and knowing we can fix what’s broken. It’s simple and it works for us.
