Y Ramavaram Sri Gubbalamma Farmer Producer Company Limited is way out here at No.1-65 in Yarlagadda Village. It’s a quiet place, and the post office is right nearby, which is handy for us. We are just a bunch of local folks who decided to put our names together to make things official. Farming in Y Ramavaram isn't always the easiest thing to do, but it’s what we have. Most of us here at the company are just farmers who grew up in these same fields. We don't have a big staff or a lot of expensive equipment in the office. It’s basically just a room with some chairs and our ledgers where we keep track of who brought in what. We mostly focus on helping the village people get their crops to market without too much trouble. Sometimes we help each other out with tools or share advice on how to deal with pests that show up in the summer. It’s a community thing more than a business thing, if you know what I mean. We don't have a website or any of those modern things; we just talk to each other face to face. If you come to Yarlagadda, you’ll see us working or sitting near the village center. We’re just trying to make a decent living and keep the farm traditions going for another generation.
