Prasad Agro Pvt. Ltd. sits right on the way to Hamsaladeevi Beach Road in Avanigadda. It is a straightforward operation where we handle a lot of agricultural supplies that the farmers around here need. Being so close to the coast, we have to deal with the humidity and the salt in the air quite a bit. The building isn't much to look at, just a practical space for storage and meeting people who stop by. We spend a lot of time talking to folks about their crops and what the weather is doing. Sometimes the rain helps us, other times it makes the roads a mess and deliveries get delayed. We have a small crew here, mostly local guys who know the land. We don't spend much on decorating the place because we are usually out back moving bags or checking on the stock. You can find us at the crossroads if you are heading out toward the beach. The office usually has a few chairs for visitors to sit and rest for a minute while we get their orders ready. It gets busy during the planting season, and then it gets quiet for a while when everyone is waiting for the harvest. We just take it as it comes. It's not a complicated life, but it keeps us busy enough throughout the year. We have seen a lot of changes in Avanigadda over the years, but the farming stays the same as it always was.
