Subramanyeswara Farmers Producer Company Limited

We are over here in Ramudupalem, which is a small part of Nadakuduru village in Krishna district. Our office is just at H.No.5-3. Most of us here are farmers ourselves. We spent our whole lives in these fields around here. There is always a lot to do, depending on if it is raining or if the sun is too hot. We started Subramanyeswara Farmers Producer Company because it made sense for us to work together instead of everyone doing their own thing alone. It is not always easy. Sometimes the crops don't do what they are supposed to. We meet up at the building and talk about seeds and what the market is doing today. It’s a lot of work with the dirt and the tractors. The village is quiet most of the time but we stay busy. We have been living here for generations, so everyone knows everyone. When you come down the road, you can see the green fields everywhere. We just try to get a decent price for what we grow. It is just a group of local people trying to make a living from the land. Sometimes the paperwork gets confusing, but we handle it. We don't have a big fancy office with air conditioning. It’s just a room where we can sit and plan for the next season. That is basically who we are, just some local farmers trying to keep things moving. We started this because the middle men were taking too much, and now we at least have some say in what happens. It's a humble business.
