Sri Dasu Meals Hotel

Sri Dasu Meals Hotel is located in Shop 432 inside the Mahatma Gandhi Complex in Gollapudi. It’s right in the middle of everything in Vijayawada. I’ve been running this shop for a long time. We mostly serve traditional meals on plates. It’s the kind of place where people come to eat quickly and then go back to work. We have a lot of regular customers who work in the complex or nearby shops. The kitchen is small but we make it work. Every morning we start by boiling large vats of rice. We have a few different pickles that we make ourselves. The tables are basic and we don't have any decorations on the walls. It’s just about the food. Sometimes the market gets very crowded and it’s hard to even walk to our door. We’ve had the same cook for almost ten years now. He knows exactly how much salt to put in the dal. We don't have a fancy menu card. We just tell people what we have for the day. It’s usually the same stuff because that’s what people like. We aren't trying to be the best or anything, just providing a good meal for a fair price. It’s just a small hotel in a big complex. We keep going as long as there is rice in the pot.
