Aithe biryani hotel is over on Alluri Sitharamaraju Street in Hanumanpet. We are right beside the Inox theater, so we get a lot of people coming in after they finish watching a movie. Vijayawada 520003 is a busy place, and Gandhi Nagar is no exception. We focus on biryani because that’s what people around here want. It isn't a fancy setup with air conditioning that freezes you out or waiters in bow ties. It’s just a local spot where you can get a plate of food and sit down for a bit. The street outside can get pretty hectic, especially on weekends when everyone is out at the cinema. We spend a lot of time in the kitchen dealing with the heat and the spices. It’s hard work, but we’ve been doing it for a while now. We don't have any big slogans or anything like that. We just open up, cook the rice and meat, and serve it to whoever comes through the door. Sometimes we run out of stuff early if it’s a busy night, and other nights it’s a bit slower. That’s just how the food business goes. We like being near the theater because there’s always something happening. You see all sorts of people in Hanumanpet, from students to families, and we just try to give them a place to eat without making a big deal out of it. It’s a simple way to spend the day.
