We are Rakhakali Farmers Producer Company Limited. Our main point of contact is Tamal Krishna Ghosh in Katwa. We aren't a big operation with lots of staff. It’s mostly just us farmers in the Katwa area trying to work together. Being a farmer producer company helps us when we need to buy things for our crops or sell what we grow. It’s much better than trying to do it all alone. Tamal Krishna Ghosh keeps the records and handles the mail at his place. We don't have a big fancy office with glass doors. Most of our meetings happen in the shade of a tree or at someone’s house. Farming in Katwa is what we have always done. We know the land and we know the weather. Some years are better than others, of course. We don’t use any corporate talk or marketing tricks. We just tell it like it is. If the crop is good, we are happy. If the pests come, we work harder. We are just trying to make sure the farmers here get a fair shake. Rakhakali is just a name on the papers, but to us, it’s about the people we work with every day. It’s not always easy, and the paperwork can be a headache, but we keep moving forward. We are just local folks doing what we know in the fields around Katwa. There's always plenty of work to keep everyone busy throughout the whole year.
