Pragnan Bricks

Our place is right on Shivalayam Road, number 8-9-84. Vuyyuru is a quiet enough town, but our yard stays fairly active. We’ve been making bricks here for a good amount of time. It’s mostly just us and a few workers trying to keep up with the demand. The sun in this part of the state doesn't play around, so we start early to beat the heat. You can see the Shivalayam temple nearby, which is a nice landmark for people finding us. The business isn't anything complicated. We mix, we mold, and we let them set. There's a lot of waiting for things to dry. Sometimes the local kids run past the gate when they're coming from school. We have a small desk where we keep the books, but I spend most of my time outside. It’s dusty work, and my clothes are always stained with red or grey by the end of the shift. Pragnan Bricks isn't a big corporation. It's just a local spot where we try to do the job right. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing team. If you need bricks, you just come down to the road and talk to us. We’ve had the same neighbors for years. Sometimes we sit outside and talk while waiting for the next truck to arrive. It’s just the way things go in Vuyyuru. We keep it practical and honest, focusing on the work that needs doing before the day ends.
