New Gulab Restaurant

Our restaurant is on Gulam Mohiddin Street in the One Town area of Vijayawada. We are situated right in the middle of the Kothapet Market. It’s a very busy part of the city and there is always something going on outside. The building we are in is quite old and the entrance is a bit narrow. Inside, it’s just a plain room with rows of tables. We don't spend money on fancy lights or decorations. We’ve been here for a long time and most of our customers are people who work in the market or are there to shop. We serve typical local meals that are filling and simple. The spices we use come right from the market stalls nearby, so they are always fresh. The kitchen is small and it gets very busy during the afternoon. Sometimes the noise from the market is quite loud, but our regulars don't seem to mind it. Our staff is used to the rush and they don't waste much time talking. They just take the orders and bring the plates. We don't have a printed menu, usually we just tell people what we have made for the day. It’s a practical place to eat when you’re tired from the market. We don't have any air conditioning, just the fans on the ceiling. It’s an honest, no-frills spot that has stayed the same while the city around it has changed. We just focus on keeping the food hot and the plates clean.
