Kayaka Farms Private Limited is over on Kinnal Road, inside the Sri Vittal Krishna Vanijya Sankirana building. We are in Ward Number 24, with a long address number that we usually just point people toward because it's easier. It’s a commercial area, so there’s always plenty of noise and movement around the office. We spend our days trying to bridge the gap between the local farms and the market. It’s not an easy job and there are plenty of headaches with transport and finding enough storage space. We aren't big on fancy slogans or glossy brochures. We just talk plain and try to keep things moving. The office is usually full of folks from the nearby villages coming in to settle their accounts or ask about new growing methods. We listen more than we talk most days. The sun gets pretty hot on this road, so we’re glad for the shade of the building when it hits noon. We’ve had some good years and some bad ones, but that’s just the nature of farming and you learn to live with it. We just take it as it comes. If you are looking for us, just find the Sankirana building on Kinnal Road. We’re in there somewhere, usually busy with some task or another. It’s a living, and we’re glad to be doing it.
