If you ever pass through Mallavolu in the Gudurgudur Mandal, you can find us at Door.No. 6-1. We are the Gudur Mallavolu Pasidi Farmers Producer Company Limited. It’s a bit of a long name, but it covers who we are and where we come from in Krishna Dist. This whole thing started because we needed a way for local farmers around here to talk to each other and handle the business side of farming. It is mostly just about the crops we grow in this part of the state. We spend most of our time out in the fields, but the office at Door No 6-1 is where we handle the paperwork and the boring bits of running a company. People here know us as neighbors. We don’t have big corporate goals or anything. We just want to make sure the work we do in Mallavolu is worth the effort. The weather can be tricky in Krishna district, so we try to look out for each other. Sometimes we sit around and just talk about the harvest. It’s a very local operation. We aren't trying to be some huge international firm. We just want to keep things going for the families who farm in this Mandal. Being a farmer is a lot of work, and doing it as a group makes it a little bit easier for everyone involved. That’s pretty much the whole story of our group.
