Phoenix Concrete

Over in Nanminda, near Chelannur, we have our setup for Phoenix Concrete. It is a quiet enough area compared to the city, but we make our fair share of noise once the machines start up. The yard is tucked away and we have been operating out of this spot for a while now. Most people around here know us by sight. The work is pretty straightforward. We take the raw materials and turn them into something people can use for their foundations or yards. It rains a lot in this part of the country, so we are always dealing with damp sand and trying to keep the cement bags dry under the tarps. There is no big management team or anything like that. It is just a few of us who show up every morning, drink some coffee, and get to work. We don't have a website or a fancy logo on our shirts. Usually, we are just covered in dust and grit anyway. The trucks go out to local sites, and we try to get everything loaded as fast as we can. It’s not the kind of job where you sit down much. You are on your feet, moving heavy stuff, and making sure the mix is just right. It is honest work and it keeps the lights on, which is all we really care about at the end of the day. That is the long and short of it.
