Our small business is located at 30, Saratha Mandhiram, which is in the Kolathara Post area. We specialize in fittings, so our shelves are packed with all kinds of small parts made of brass, steel, and plastic. It’s a quiet kind of place compared to the big industrial zones. We spend a lot of time organizing the stock and making sure we can find what someone is looking for. Sometimes a person comes in with a broken piece and we have to hunt through the bins to find a match. It’s a lot like a puzzle. The building is older and has a lot of character. We like being in Kolathara because it feels like a real community. We aren't a big chain store with bright lights and matching uniforms. It’s just us in our regular clothes, helping people out with their plumbing or machine needs. We drink our coffee and watch the rain when it comes down. The pace is a bit slower here, which allows us to be careful with the orders. We don’t have a website with a bunch of fancy pictures. People mostly find us by word of mouth or by just walking past. It’s a simple, honest shop. We don’t try to be anything we aren't. We just provide the fittings that keep things together. It’s a basic life, and we are quite happy with how things are going here. Most days are pretty much the same.
